Kønig expanded into the export market with speciality cuts, salted cured and dried meat products in 2002. We are an export licensed meat producer with RMP (Risk Management Program) and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) on all products produced.
Being an export company we are continually audited by New Zealand MPI (Ministry of Primary Industries), and as an EU accredited Export Company a weekly inspection from MPI veterinarian is part of the requirement.
We are proud to be using premium quality free range New Zealand meat. For export all our products are made to order, and we can produce products to your specifications. We are at present producing specialised cuts, dry salted and brine salted products, as well as cured and dried beef, lamb and venison.
We have for 25 years in New Zealand now produced Scandinavian speciality products like Pinnekjøtt, Fenalår and also Bundnerfleich, dry-cured Pastrami, mutton, venison 'prosciutto' etc… and exported most of these products for 12 years.
Konig Gourmet Foods Ltd has modern salting and fully controllable climate/drying-rooms, and can produce most products to your specifications.
Being Halal accredited, we can produce Halal certified products on request.
